Would you use up all your building supplies mid-job? If so, the chances are very good that you're not a great estimator. Use mathematical techniques and scientific methods. Perhaps you need to find a mentor who has more expertise than you do making approximations. Regardless of how frustrated you may get, no guessing! You had enough equipment to finish the job, will have won the job, and will not be borrowing from the current job to pay for a previous job.
